Euricon Supports the Green Multimodal Transportation of Fresh Products by Participating as a Contractor in the “FRESH WAYS” Project of the Interreg Greece - Italy Program

The project with the acronym FRESH WAYS, title “Cross-Border Mechanisms for Green Intermodal and Multimodal Transport of FRESH Products” and code 5003373 is an infrastructure intervention whose main objective is to promote economic, sustainable and environmentally friendly transport, reducing dependence on road transport which is an environmentally friendly mode of transport.

In particular, the project aims to improve commercial exchanges, combined with passenger transport, between Apulia and Greece, through the establishment of new air transport modes of fresh products and the expansion of the availability of Apulia-Greece routes covered by passenger airlines in the selectable area.

The total budget of the project amounts to €2,737,235.00 and is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) by 85% and by the 2 member states by 15% through national co-financing. The duration of the project is: 10.2018 to 06.2023.

EURICON, supporting the Chamber of Preveza, implemented various actions within the project, such as the preparation of the Business Plan for the creation of an Agri-Food Supply Center within the Industrial Area of Preveza. It also implemented publicity and capitalization actions.
