On June 29 and 30, 2023, the corporate scheme of the project entitled: "Joint e-course on the sustainable management of tourist destinations (SUSTOUR)", implemented in the framework of the ERASMUS + program, met in Granada, Spain. In particular, the 6 partners from Italy, Greece and Spain came together: University of Sapienza (IT) which leads the collaboration, EURICON LTD (GR), University of Granada (SP), Ionian University (GR), CNA – National Confederation of Crafts and Small and Medium Enterprises – Rome (IT) and Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife (SP).
On the first day, the project partner: University of Granada and in particular Ms. Remedios Sánchez, professor of the University, welcomed all the participants and announced the opening of the meeting at the School of Educational Sciences of the University of Granada in the School's Video Conference Room.
During the meeting, the data collected so far regarding the research carried out by EURICON in the three countries (Italy, Greece and Spain) for the elaboration of the Common Qualification Profile Framework of the Responsible Sustainable Tourism Destination were presented. Furthermore, the University of La Sapienza took the floor and presented focusing on the e-learning course. There were also presentations on the reality of sustainable tourism in Spain, as seen from the perspective of the University's academic staff and the business sector.
The meeting of the second day took place in the Meeting Room of the partner: Patronato de La Alhambra y el Generalife, where mainly management issues of the project were discussed. The meeting was officially closed with Antonio Peral, curator and deputy director of the Patronato de la Alhambra y Generalife and representative of Tourism, Culture and Sports.
In addition, on June 30, 2023, the University of Granada organized the 1st "Multiplier Event" of the SUSTOUR project in the Meeting Room of the Patronato de La Alhambra y el Generalife. All partners and stakeholders participated. During the event the participants expressed their opinion on the structure and content of the under development common qualification profile framework of the Responsible Sustainable Tourism Destination being developed in the framework of the project.
